FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Have A Question For Us?

  • How much do you charge for your disaster restoration services?

While each restoration or cleanup job is unique, our pricing is competitive and we utilize the same software pricing program as most insurance carriers. When working with your insurance company, we strive to reach an agreed-upon price for any work necessary to restore your home or business. Most of our projects are covered by Florida homeowner’s insurance policies, so the only out-of-pocket costs an insured homeowner may incur is the deductible.

  • What is your availability?

We are available for emergency restoration services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We can usually respond to any call or service request within an hour. For requests that do not require immediate attention, you can call to make an appointment for an assessment during our normal business hours.

  • How do I know if you are qualified to perform a cleanup on my property?

We are state licensed and insured. We would be happy to provide you with documentation of all our qualifications and certifications.

  • Do you work with the insurance companies?

Yes! Emergency & Mold Specialists works with all insurance companies. We'll be here for you every step of the way during the claims process. In some cases, we may be able to file all of your paperwork for you.

  • What is the best way to prevent mold?

Proper and thorough drying performed quickly can save thousands of dollars in secondary damage. When there is a water problem, whether it is a slow leak, burst pipe, rising water, sewage backup or from some other source, getting the water and moisture out of your home should be done as quickly as possible.

  • How many different types of mold are there?

There are many types of molds and they affect people differently. Some individuals are more sensitive or allergic to molds than others. Infants, the elderly, and those with immune system disorders are at a much higher risk than others. There are over 100,000 known species of mold or fungi, many of which give little cause for concern.
